Irish Grid Ref Compass is a Mapping Coordinate application for use in The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (UK). The app gives the current location of the device, on the Irish National Grid System, used on Ireland and Northern Ireland maps.

Whilst it will work worldwide, the app will only be of real use on the Island of Ireland, although it does also show Lat/Lng coordinates of the device, in WGS84 and OSGB36 formats.

On the main app screen, the user will also be presented with a useful compass, and bearing information.

Locations can be shared via Text Message (or iMessage on iPhone), Email, or Tweet. (Tweet Functionality on iPhone only).

The LCD can be set to stay on, so that it does not power off during your walk according to your device settings.

An illustration of the "Irish National Grid" is provided in one of the app's tabs.

No internet connection is required to use the application.

The app is only compatible with iPhone and Android Smartphone models that have GPS capabilities. Additionally, the Compass will only function if the Device has a Hardware Magnetometer (Compass).
