Developer Blog from Mike Irving - Railway Children Friends
12/5/2007 - Railway Children FriendsA new Charity Page for Railway Children has gone live this week.
The Charity have a main website, with extensive details about the organisation, but this site is a special Homepage site for those who'd like to support the charity when online. By clicking the shopping links on the site, shopping at eBay, or searching on Ask.com, you will help raise money for the charity.
Why not set Railway Children Friends as your homepage today?
The site is the first to go live of the many fresh projects that I have been working on in my job at Silkmoth Ltd.
From an initial design, given as a PDF document, I constructed the site as a Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict document, also using Strict CSS. The site utilises ASP (JSCript), which is used to great effect on the News pages to pull BBC News articles into the site via XML feeds, thus bringing more content to those who'd like to use the homepage.
