Live Music Promotion in Macclesfield
I used to work part time as a local music promoter in Macclesfield, along with a friend of mine. We operated a regular set of events at a club called Beba in Macclesfield. Events included Live Band nights, Open Mic nights, and Rock Disco nights.
Shortly after we began our residency at Beba - The Music Bar, we decided that Maccattack Promotions needed a website, mainly for the purpose of gig listings and to give information about local bands.
I wrote the website to encompass an event listings page, and we added several extra sections specific to certain events. Also on the site was a news section and band links.
Following the closure of Beba, the Maccattack website has slightly shifted in focus. It is now about Macclesfield Music, and not being tied down to any one specific venue, the site now lists gig's taking place at multiple venues.
The site, ASP and Database driven, has proven very popular.
